Questions for Angel

Angel Moritz's Q & A Session

Exclusive Interview with Angel Moritz (age 18)...

1.) What's the hardest thing about being a young adult?

Probably trying to figure out what my future is supposed to look like.

2.) What was the happiest event you experienced over the last year?

Probably my grad party. It was really fun and I got to see a lot of people I hadn't seen in a while and eat good food.

3.) What's the nicest thing a friend has done for you recently?

One of my friends is booking a train so she can come to my birthday party!

4.) Which four words describe you best?

Mmm...I would say 'Diligent'. Maybe 'Easy-going'?. 'Pushover'. Final word is...'Spacey'.

5.) What piece of advice would you give to each of your siblings?

Tony: Don't worry so much. Harmony: I have no idea. Maybe don't get the salt and sugar ratios mixed up when you're baking. Charity: learn your cardinal directions before dad teaches you how to drive. Chase: play video games as much as possible because that could become your future career. Symphony: Take as many pictures as you can because you're gonna be happy you have them when you're older.

6.) What would you most like to do for a career?

Right now? Probably work in a library or as an editor at a publishing firm.

7.) What are the five things you enjoy most about your life?

#1: My family. #2: My job at the library. #3: My boyfriend who is cute and nice. #4: Getting to bake whenever I want to. #5: All the good books I've been reading.

8.) If you could make one new law, what would it be?

One new law...a ban on price controls.

9.) What is the best thing about mom? Worst thing about mom? Best thing about dad? Worst thing about dad?

Best thing about mom is that she's very self-sacrificial and always putting other people first. Worst thing about mom... I don't know... maybe she stresses too much about the little things. Best thing about dad is that he's always trying to be the best version of himself. Worst thing about dad is maybe he wants things very controlled so sometimes it makes things less fun because he adds too many rules.

10.) What's the funniest video you've seen online recently?

I've seen some good ones lately. I guess the one about a 4-year-old saying 'My girl's so crazy she want me to drive to Chico. Why you want me to go to Chico, babe?'

Questions for Tony

Tony Moritz's Q & A Session

Exclusive Interview with Tony Moritz (age 17)...

1.) What's the hardest thing about being an older teenager?

I'd probably have to say looking back at all of the wasted time in my early teen and childhood years. All the things I could've done, piano I could've played etc. And now all that spare time is gone because I have work and all the rest.

2.) Which four words describe you best?

1. Improving ('cuz I'm always trying to become better than I was yesterday). 2. Extroverted (for sure...I'm like on the very extroverted side of the scale). Hmm...I'm not gonna say 'Gamer' like i've said over the past years...I've officially graduated from the title of 'Gamer'... 3. Wild (I'm pretty adventurous). And...final one... 4. Logical.

3.) Can you name one thing that scares you?

With every change, there's sacrifice, so I'm still working through the fear of losing close friendships with people I care about in exchange for other things and other friendships.

4.) What piece of advice would you give to each of your siblings?

For Chase: find a productive hobby that you're really passionate about and then pursue that hobby. For Charity: I'd say remember that you'll be friends with your siblings your whole life, so keep that in mind. For Harmony: I'd say get a solid routine that you can follow so that you wake up the next morning and it's not 1pm (or some ungodly hour). For Symphony: Symphony is like the perfect 5-year-old sister, to be honest... keep doing what you're doing. 5 stars. And then for Angel: I guess I'd tell her to have some more patience with people.

5.) What would you most like to do for a career?

Ooh. Well, I've thought recently about how cool it would be to go into sales and be some super good salesman. I don't know how realistic that is because I haven't done that at all, but I do think I'd be pretty darn good at it, and it would be something I'd enjoy.

6.) What are the five things you enjoy most about your life?

I really like making friends and meeting new people. It's fun to challenge myself to learn a new skill or to make a new friend. I find that super engaging. I love my whole family and like spending time with everybody and watching my siblings grow up. I like exploring; going to new places and checking them out. And I like to party.

7.) What are you most looking forward to about being a grown-up?

Getting married and having kids. Cuz as I've been growing up I've thought about the way I'd like to raise kids and what I'd do differently from my parents. And the gift of childbirth and that miracle. And also one day achieving financial freedom and doing stuff that I was unable to do as a kid.

8.) What is your favorite family tradition?

As a kid, I thought that we never had family traditions. Like if someone asked me I'd have no idea how to answer the question. But now I'm like 'We have a ton'. One of my favorites is having Thanksgiving with the family and saying what we're thankful for.

9.) What is the best thing about mom? Worst thing about mom? Best thing about dad? Worst thing about dad?

Best thing about mom: Do I have to pick just one thing? I guess I love how genuine mom is. She's such a genuine person. And there's been a lot of parts of myself that I've modeled after her because I've seen how it glows off of her. Worst thing about mom: she gets a little grumpy sometimes and just not in the mood for being happy. Best thing about dad: this question is easier to answer because I brag about certain traits he has to my friends. One thing that comes to mind right now is how focused he is on not just changing our actions but changing our values so that we will make those good decisions ourselves. Worst thing about dad: this is something that I think I inherited from him and trying to fix in myself. Sometimes we overplan things—especially socially—and overanalyze social situations, and that can take us out of the moment.

10.) If you could have lunch with any celebrity, who would it be and why?

Maybe if I knew more celebrities, I'd have a better answer to the question...I'm only gonna talk about alive celebrities...I would want to see inside the mind of this guy named Alex Hormozi. I saw a video of him talking about sales and he brings home like $200 million a year. And I think he would have a lot of good things to pour into anybody.

Tony's Additional Questionnaires:

Questions for Harmony

Harmony Moritz's Q & A Session

Exclusive Interview with Harmony Moritz (age 16)...

1.) What is something that not everyone finds funny, but you find hilarious?

Hahahahaha...hahahaha...hahaha...the song "SexyBack". It's hilarious. Every time I hear it I start laughing...mostly due to Obi-Wan Kenobi. I'll send you the video. Oh my gosh, it's my favorite video on the whole internet.

2.) What is the best part about being your age right now? What's the hardest part?

BEST PART: I like having my own car and being able to drive anywhere I want...and the fact that i'm able to get most starting-level jobs. WORST PART: My friends have the worst opinions on boys, and there's so much drama they could avoid if they just decided "Maybe not him."

3.) What's a mistake you made that actually taught you something valuable?

Uh...my answers are so LAME...All I can think of is that alcohol-based markers bleed a lot...so always use parchment paper. That's literally the best I could come up with.

4.) What's the weirdest (but still good) food combination you have eaten?

Hmm...I've eaten a lot of weird food. Probably something Tyler made. He feeds me the most random things, and I don't remember half the ingredients in them but they still taste good. He makes a lot of hot sauces... I think one of them had blueberries in it?

5.) If you could have any animal as a sidekick (real or mythical), which would you choose and why?

My new fishy Marc! He would be a great sidekick. But for mythical...currently all i'm thinking of is the horse from Mia and me, but I HATE Mia and Me and I would NEVER want her horse. But mabye Discord from My Little Pony. He's cool. I feel like we would get along.

6.) What does it mean to be a good friend?

Depends on the kind of friends you have...I just think it just depends on which friend you're talking about. Like I'm a different friend to Sarah than I am to Lily because they want different things and are different people. But probably the most important part is just being there... you can't really stay friends if you don't talk to them much.

7.) If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

You're not quirky, and you're exactly like the other girls. No one likes it when you do all those really weird things. And people will make fun of you for years to come. Like when I dressed up as a certain minecraft YouTuber for Halloween, not a single person has let me live that downn. Everytime I'm in an argument they can just whip it out like "I may be wrong, but you dressed up as GeorgeNotFound for Halloween!"...and they win!

8.) What's a mild superpower that you could do a lot with? How?

Being able to draw things exactly as I imagine them...I would get SO RICH!

9.) If you could have any job in the world (and be great at it) for a year, what would it be?

I could be an author, write my entire book in a year, and then I would still get paid for it once all my writing abilities left!

10.) What is something you're proud of that you accomplished this year, big or small?

I mean convincing mom to buy a fish is pretty big for me... but... I guess quitting and starting my new job at the Rennaissance Fair is what I was most excited about...besides the fish, of course.

11.) How do you think the world will be different by the time you're an adult?

(In a cartoonishly old man voice) Back in MY day... we used to have to HOLD our controllers... (Normal voice) I also think gas-powered vehicles will be outlawed in like 1/3 of the states. And Elon Musk will be President eventually.

12.) Describe a dream you've had that you still remember.

Umm...the most recent dream I had was that one of my friends died and I was so sad. But I started going through the stuff in her room and it was full of drawings of Marc Anciel from Miraculous and I was like "I KNEW!... I KNEW she liked him" and when I woke up and told my friend, she was quite upset with me, because she HATES Marc!

13.) What's the most useless talent you have?

If I really like something I will know all about it for two days. Like for instance, when we got our fish, I now know everything there is to know about beta fish. I can also touch my nose with my toe backwards (demonstrates it on the floor with a back-bend)

14.) If you could influence a world leader, who would it be and what would you influence him/her to do?

Whoever is running France maybe get someone a little better to run the Louvre.

Harmony's Additional Questionnaires:

Questions for Charity

Charity Moritz's Q & A Session

Exclusive Interview with Charity Moritz (age 15)...

1.) What is something you wish was taught in school but usually isn't?

I would say I wish they would teach that abortion is murder and we should not be okay with it as a society.

2.) What is the best part about being your age right now? What's the hardest part?

BEST PART: I'd say the best part is that it's pretty easy to make friends at my age. I know a lot of people disagree, but I really like the church that I go to and feel like we all get along pretty well. HARDEST PART: The hardest part is that I find it hard to feel safe whenever I'm alone in public places.

3.) What's a mistake you made that actually taught you something valuable?

I would say probably when Harmony and me walked on the frozen lake when we weren't supposed to, I decided to let mom know even when I probably could've gotten away with it. It taught me to just be honest even when I have to face consequences.

4.) What is one thing you hope to do or see in the next five years?

I want to hopefully go to Paris with mom by the time I'm 18 and be more fluent in French.

5.) What's the weirdest (but still good) food combination you have eaten?

Macaroni and Cheese and mustard...People think I'm a freak, but it's good, I promise...if you like mustard.

6.) If you could have any animal as a sidekick (real or mythical), which would you choose and why?

I don't know why I would need a sidekick in the first place?...but I guess I would say...maybe like a dragon...a small dragon, so that it can attack people. That would be fun.

7.) What does it mean to be a good friend?

I would say: putting them before yourself and taking time to show that you care for them and want to grow closer to them. But I think a lot of people have different opinions on that.

8.) If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

I would probably tell my 13-year-old self to not hesitate to share the gospel even when other people disapprove or would think lower of you.

9.) What's a mild superpower that you could do a lot with? How?

If I could see the outcomes of my choices. That might be too big but I could benefit a lot from that in many ways.

10.) What is something you're proud of that you accomplished this year, big or small?

I started learning guitar and have improved a lot, in my opinion.

11.) You can have a lifetime supply of any one non-monetary thing. What would you choose?

Can it be not physical? I would say: "Patience".

12.) What's the most useless talent you have?

I can triple-taco-tongue (demonstrates).

Charity's Additional Questionnaires:

Questions for Chase

Chase Moritz's Q & A Session

Exclusive Interview with Chase Moritz (age 13)...

1.) What is one thing you think adults don't quite understand about life for you right now?

I guess really all I could think of was like how good I am and how many times I've played Castle Crashers. Because you have to beat the game to unlock one character and I've unlocked all characters except for one that is unlocked in a different way.

2.) What is something you wish was taught in school but usually isn't?

Hmm... how to be better at video games, I guess

3.) What is something that not everyone finds funny, but you find hilarious?

I guess really just ANYTHING when I'm slap happy—like when i'm really tired and just start finding everything funny...even when everyone is just the same, I'm the only one laughing, but I still find it hilarious for some reason.

4.) What's a mistake you made that actually taught you something valuable?

When I, uh, crossed the Johnson County spot that's way too filled with traffic, and I now know that you should only cross busy streets at designated crosswalks where drivers are alerted.

5.) What is one thing you hope to do or see in the next five years?

I think set up like a really cool Scratch game or JavaScript game... Just build a really cool coding game, I guess.

6.) What's the weirdest (but still good) food combination you have eaten?

Mac and Cheese and Mustard... it's actually REALLY delicious, but it sounds bad.

7.) If you could have any animal as a sidekick (real or mythical), which would you choose and why?

Probably like some small, easier-to-take-care-of dog that's like really fluffy, just cause I love dogs.

8.) What does it mean to be a good friend?

It would mean that like when something good happens to your friend, your thoughts aren't jealousy but like "Good for you", like "That's really cool" kind of thing. Like understanding the person and their thoughts and stuff and like just getting along with them really well.

9.) If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Start on building up your faith earlier.

10.) What's a mild superpower that you could do a lot with? How?

Being able to think through things really quickly because like then I could do coding a lot faster and figure out solutions to problems and new ideas for the game and be able to code them in really quickly. And it would probably help me make money if my job was coding.

11.) What is something you're proud of that you accomplished this year, big or small?

Hmm...I'd say just being willing and happy for Tony when he left because that felt pretty hard, but I managed to go through it pretty well, I feel like.

12.) How do you think the world will be different by the time you're an adult?

By the time I'm an adult, I feel like AI will be able to perfect human-looking art, so people won't be able to tell anymore what's real and what's AI. And with that, there will probably be a lot of misinformation shared, and people will be not as smart as they are now. They'll just go with what they're told and won't do investigations on their own because you can't really do that anymore.

13.) What's the most useless talent you have?

Being able to crack the stupidest jokes that rarely anyone laughs at.

14.) If you could influence a world leader, who would it be and what would you influence him/her to do?

Umm... China to convert to a free market economy.

Chase's Additional Questionnaires:

BEST PART: I'm old enough to finally be a flower girl. WORST PART: My two siblings moved out.

Probably when I accidentally didn't smile at Angel's wedding, but at Tony's wedding, I did.

Walmart. To be like one of those helpers that could tell people where stuff is.

Food. To survive. Oh, and camping supplies.

13.) What's the most useless talent you have?

Probably throwing. Or like building obstacle course; that's not very useful, honestly.

14.) If you found a magic lamp with a genie, what would your three wishes be?

That I could climb up to the ledge that Charity can go to. And that I had fire, ice, lightning, earth, water, and grass powers. And that we had infinite money.
